                Hollywood Temple Beth El will host a Leyl Tikun, an Evening of Cosmic Repair, for the Second Night of Shavuot, on Wednesday , June 4, at 7:30 PM.  

                There will be a brief service to usher in the Second Night of the Shavuot Festival and member led discussions on a variety of topics, followed by desert. Some of the topics proposed are What really happened at Shavuot according to ancient Jewish Legends, Who heard what at Mt Sinai-How can human and Divine mind interact, and, on a lighter tone, Jewish Humor for Shavuot.

                Leyl Tikun is an old Kabbalistic term for mystical meditations and studies that were believed to engage the worshipper in an act of healing the Universe. It has been reinterpreted in modern parlance to mean repairing our world by practical actions that can lead to social healing and well-being.

                Reservations must be made in advance. There is no charge, however, donations are gladly accepted and can be made on the website, www.HTBEL.org.

                Yizkor Memorial services will also be held Thursday, June 5, at 11:00 AM, following Shavuot Service which will start at 9:45 AM
