When it comes to security, Jewish Federation Los Angeles is a leader in our community and within the Federation system.
Here in Los Angeles, on Wednesday, March 15 at 5:00 p.m., we are holding a Security Response Town Hall at 6505 Wilshire so community members can hear directly from Chief of Police, LAPD Chief Beck, and other senior members of local and national law enforcement on how they are working with Federation’s Community Service Initiative (CSI) to prepare for and respond to threats to the safety of Jewish Los Angeles. To attend, please contact S.Loughmiller@JewishLA.org. Our ground-breaking initiative has reached out to over 400 schools, synagogues and community organizations since it was established five years ago in order to ensure the security of all Jewish organizations in Los Angeles.
Nationally, we are a leading member of a group of security directors that our JFNA initiative SCN, the Secure Community Network, has created to strengthen communication between the Jewish community and law enforcement, and provide expertise in specific areas such as cyber threats and prosecution of terrorists. Following is an article about this important step in securing Jewish communities throughout America. Read more here.
