The need to support Jewish students has never been more critical than it is today. Jewish Federation Los Angeles supports Jewish students and fosters thriving Jewish life on campus through our Campus Impact Network (CIN), a program that cultivates a coalition of informed Jewish student leaders on local college campuses, while also empowering these leaders to effect positive change at their schools.
Focused on education, training, civic engagement, and community organizing, CIN gives Jewish and like-minded student leaders the tools they need to take an active on-campus role in civic and Jewish issues, build coalitions with allies, and use their voices to elevate the Jewish experience. Working in coordination with the Hillels at USC, UCLA, Hillel 818, and Santa Monica Community College, we seek a unified approach to engaging the student body.
Throughout the year, CIN:
- Monitors and supports students in response to antisemitic activity on campus.
- Allocates micro-grants to students for organizing programs and initiatives, in line with the Federation’s priorities.
- Provides professional development and training by hosting in-person conferences, webinars, and other learning opportunities.
- Mentors and serves as a resource for all local Jewish college students.
- Empowers Jewish students to promote a positive view of Israel on campus.
- Assists Jewish student leaders with building allies and coalitions to strengthen advocacy efforts.
With a strong presence on our L.A. campuses, CIN makes on-site visits with Jewish students and professionals, taking their concerns directly to university leaders. To seek support and/or receive more information, please reach out to us at CIN@JewishLA.org.
