As the Federation continues to provide a broad social service safety net for Jews in need in Los Angeles and Israel through programming and partnering with expert social service providers, we are working to further our mental health strategy to reach as many Jews as possible as needs in this area increase.

Our Federation is pioneering a complementary multipronged approach to meet the mental health needs of the Jewish community by creating a more focused safety net of mental health services that includes the following:

Ezra Network Mental Health Services

The Jewish Federation’s Ezra Network, in partnership with Jewish Family Service, can help you access the mental health services you need. Whether you’re looking for one-on-one short- or long-term counseling or support groups, we have it all — in the comfort and privacy of your own home or at a Jewish institution and at no cost to you.

Through the Ezra Network, we have also created a low-barrier way for college students to access in-person or virtual mental health services on college campuses. A social worker will work with college students one-on-one and facilitate support group groups, serving as a knowledgeable referral source and able to identify and strengthen student support networks, provide training and consultation to Hillel colleagues, and arm Hillel staff with the tools to offer student support.
