Michael is the Chief Executive Officer of Hackman Capital Partners (HCP), which he founded in 1986. Michael has 40 years of experience in the acquisition, development, management, and disposition of real estate assets. He has successfully completed hundreds of real estate transactions and capital asset liquidations on four different continents, representing in excess of $6 billion in capitalization.
Michael grew up in Columbus, Ohio and graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in Real Estate Finance in 1978. He formed HCP on his core Midwestern beliefs in Value, Ethics, Hard Work, and Results. He is a past trustee for The Willows School in Culver City and Windward School in Los Angeles. He also serves as a trustee and executive board member of The Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles. Michael and his wife Caroline commit both time and resources to many local and national philanthropic organizations.
Brent is a member of the firm’s Executive Management Committee and Investment Committee and serves as General Counsel, where he directs all legal aspects of the company’s corporate and investment dealings.
Brent received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Emory University’s Goizueta School of Business and his Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School.
