On May 22, NuRoots Post-Undergrads came together in advance of Shavuot to honor the Jewish tradition of eating dairy during the Festival. We were joined by an expert sommelier from D-Cantor Enterprises for an interactive tasting of Israeli red, white, and rose wines straight from vineyards spanning the Golan to the Negev. An expert “cheesemonger” (expert) from Milkfarm—an Artisan Cheese Shop in Eagle Rock—detailed the varieties of cheeses, their histories, and how they are made.
