Prepping for Shabbat dinner? Shape, cook, and eat the delicious, traditional Persian Shabbat dish of Gondi (meat + chickpea dumplings) and ab goosht (chicken soup). Last week, community members learned the art and significance of Gondi with facilitator and chef Nicole Hendizadeh and our friends at OneTable. We honored the dishes’ origins and the delicacy of Saffron, a staple spice in Iranian Jewish food. As we ate our delicious fruits of our labor over the communal table, we reflected on how we want to spend our upcoming Shabbat. YUM!
