2019 JFS { Gala Dinner

We are pleased to announce that the 2019 JFS { Gala will be held the evening of Wednesday, May 29th, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. This important community event will benefit the significant work of Jewish Family Service of Los Angeles (JFS), one of Los Angeles’ most respected social service agencies. Among its wide array of vital services, JFS feeds families in need, provides the elderly with compassionate care to age safely in place, empowers survivors of abuse, treats mental illness, and offers focus, direction, and counseling for children at risk and their families.

This year, it is our great pleasure to honor Susan Rovner and Brett Paul with the JFS { Spirit of Humanity Award. Susan and Brett are both Executive Vice Presidents at Warner Brothers Television, and are Co-Presidents of Warner Horizon Scripted Television.

We will present the JFS { Anita & Stanley Hirsh Award to the JFS Capital Campaign Co-chairs, Dena Schechter and David O. Levine, and Eileen Brown, JFS Building Committee Co-chair. These individuals have dedicated themselves to ensuring that the dream of a new home and a lasting future for JFS became a reality.

JFS will also honor Lois & Richard Gunther and Anita* & Stanley Hirsh* with a special recognition award for their lifelong commitment to the JFS value of serving those in need, culminating in the creation of the JFS { Gunther-Hirsh Family Center, our new flagship service center currently being constructed on Fairfax Avenue.
