The High Holidays are now behind us, but this is a great time for you to start the Jewish year on a high note with acts of kindness. Sign up now to volunteer at our Federation’s upcoming Community Service Day, being held in conjunction with Mitzvah Day, on Sunday, November 2nd!
Choose from one of four meaningful ways to make a difference in someone’s life and give back to our community:
- ETTA – Plant fruit trees and paint garden rocks at each of ETTA’s group residential homes for adults with special needs.
- Senior Prom – Dance and spend quality time with senior citizens during our annual Senior Prom at Westside Jewish Community Center. Reserved exclusively for YALA volunteers (ages 25-40).
- JFS { SOVA High Holiday Food Drive – Sort and categorize thousands of pounds of food donated to JFS { SOVA Community Food and Resource Program.
- Union Rescue Mission – Prepare and serve a nutritious lunch to homeless clients at the Union Rescue Mission.
