To further its mission of creating open and welcoming activities, JCC Without Walls hosted a communal Chanukah Celebration at Santa Monica Place on December 9th. Nearly 320 people participated, as families with young children enjoyed live entertainment, Chanukah coloring calendars, Shamash making, Dreidel spin art, potato stamp art, an olive press demonstration, jelly donuts, Chanukah cookie decorating and Debbie the Dreidel.

JCC Without Walls acted as a communal convener to further enhance the Chanukah celebration by creating the event’s vision and bringing together PJ Library, Zimmer Children’s Museum, Camp JCA Shalom, Beth Shir Shalom, Chabad of Santa Monica, and the Jewish Outreach Institute to be a part of the event. Plus, each family attending received a box of Chanukah candles courtesy of The Jewish Federation highlighting our work in the Young Adult area.
JCC Without Walls, a partnership between the JCC Development Corporation and Jewish Federation Los Angeles, provides activities in secular spaces like farmers markets, malls, and local businesses for young Jewish couples in their 20s and 30s and Jewish families with young children (ages 0-4) throughout Los Angeles.
