I grew up an hour away from Plymouth Rock in historic Salem, Massachusetts.
Thanksgiving has always been my favorite American holiday. It’s not because of turkey and stuffing (although, I must admit, I do love Thanksgiving food!).
I love this holiday because I’m deeply thankful — especially this year.
We are living in challenging times, but because we are such a dynamic, passionate, and philanthropic community, we are facing these challenges together. I am thankful to be part of it — and to live out my Jewish values and impact so many lives every day. I am humbled and proud that our Federation, with the help and involvement of our Jewish community, touches every Jewish life in Los Angeles, Israel, and around the world.
We are all blessed to live in an extraordinary Jewish community.
On this Thanksgiving, please accept my gratitude for your support of our community and our Federation. Together, we are ensuring the Jewish future for generations to come.
With appreciation,
Jay Sanderson
