As we approach Shabbat, we know that our entire community is anxious and unsettled. Sadly, there are many among us who are homebound and some who have already contracted coronavirus. We are all praying for their full and speedy recovery.
Our Federation has guided this community through many crises over our 110-year history, and we are ready and prepared for the days, weeks, and months ahead.
We are committed to answering these essential questions:
- How do we build community in a time of social distancing?
- How do we create meaningful Jewish experiences when our institutions are unable to open their doors?
- How do we care for our most vulnerable at a time when we can’t get close?
As we move forward together to address these challenges, we will deepen our commitment to you and to our community. We will increase our communication to you to keep you more connected and better informed. We may not see you at events or meetings, but we will continue to write to you and call you to check in and let you know about all that we are doing.
Our Federation’s Community Call Line will continue Monday-Thursday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM and Fridays from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. If you or someone you know needs access to social services including financial assistance via our Max Factor Family Foundation Financial Assistance Network, please call our Community Call Line at (323) 761-8305.
We will get through this crisis together.
Shabbat Shalom,
