As we celebrate the miracle of light with friends and family this week, I would be remiss if I didn’t acknowledge the recent events that have impacted our community, far and wide.
I am in awe of our community and how we have come together in the face of tragedy to support one another in Los Angeles and around the world. The devastating fires here at home and the heartbreak at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh and at Borderline in Thousand Oaks showed us that our Federation’s work and leadership have never been more important. Watch this video to learn more about how we mobilized during our community’s time of need:
The Jewish Federation is the one organization that keeps Jewish Los Angeles safe, secure, and vibrant in the good times — and that serves as a pillar of strength in times of crisis. With 2018 coming to a close, we hope you will make sure our community is not just taken care of — but ready for whatever comes our way.
