NLP – Past, Present & Future Classes

The Jewish Federation’s New Leaders Project (NLP) was thrilled to welcome Jarrod Bernstein, the Director of Jewish Outreach from the White House’s Office of Public Engagement, at our recent Alumni Breakfast. Over 50 young leaders attended, including the current NLP participants and alumni, as well as those from other Federation programs. All were treated to an educational and entertaining visit from the President’s key liaison to the Jewish community.

Jarrod shared the President’s vision and commitment to the American Jewish community on the issues that affect us most.  He gave a personal account of his time in the White House, the importance of his role and the camaraderie he feels with other Jews in the administration. In addition, he answered questions about the Arab Spring, relationships with Iran and Israel, as well as domestic issues.

NLP, a program of The Jewish Federation’s Community Engagement Strategic Initiative, offers an extraordinary opportunity for participants to become the Jewish civic leaders of tomorrow. Participants learn first-hand how to enhance their leadership capabilities and gain a deep knowledge and understanding of the diverse fabric of our city while working with community leaders to address some of the most critical issues facing Los Angeles.

We are now accepting applications for NLP’s 2013 class. Download an application now!

Applications are due by November 30, 2012.

Those who are selected to participate will use their vision, talents and experience to work with others to explore emerging issues facing Los Angeles, cultivate new relationships and strengthen their leadership skills to make real change!
