Shabbat Morning J.A.M.
Temple Etz Chaim invites the community to participate in a new program to strengthen children’s and their parents’ connections to Judaism and Israel – Shabbat Morning J.A.M., a family Shabbat program with an emphasis on Jewish Arts and Movement. Shabbat J.A.M. is designed to provide dynamic, inter-generational learning with the goal of making young Jews feel proud of being Jewish with relevant, creative, innovative, and stimulating programming in a monthly family Saturday morning Shabbat service. Shabbat Morning J.A.M. is open to the community and will be held in the Wolfson Auditorium on Saturday, November 12th, 10:00 am, at Temple Etz Chaim, 1080 E. Janss Road, Thousand Oaks, CA 91360.
Shabbat Morning J.A.M. is designed to increase Jewish knowledge through educational programming to help young children and families move forward on their Jewish journey with a focus on Jewish holidays, Jewish symbols and life in Israel. Led by Hazzan Pablo Duek and educator and musician Steve Ormond, the program is geared toward families with children aged two to eight, and incorporates singing, dancing, storytelling and more.
Shabbat J.A.M. on November 12th will explore the story of Noah and a complimentary light lunch will be served. This is open to the community at no charge. Please call the Temple office at 805-497-6891 for questions, and rsvp to rebecca@templeetzchaim.org. Upcoming dates for Shabbat Morning J.A.M. are December 10th, January 7th, and February 11th.
