RATING: Moderate to Intermediate TRAILHEAD TIME: 9:30 a.m.
DESCRIPTION:
Well hike 7.3 miles, 900 feet elevation gain. Breathtaking ocean and mountain views, and wildflowers. Dense brush along the trail makes it necessary to wear long pants and a long sleeved shirt. Swimming in the ocean follows after the hike.

WHAT TO BRING:
Bring bathing suit, sandals, towels, sunscreen, beach chair as we may go swimming / perhaps have lunch at the beach if not earlier.
Minimum of two liters of water, lunch, snacks, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, hiking boots or shoes with good traction, daypack, hiking poles/sticks, shorts and a T-shirt or long pants and long sleeved shirt, depending on weather. Clothes should be loose fitting, and light-colors are preferable.
FOOTWEAR:
Hiking boots or shoes with good traction. Absolutely no sandals or open toed shoes.

Meet at the municipal parking lot on the south side of Pico Blvd west of Robertson blvd
between Robertson blvd and Livona ave next to B’ Nai David Congregation 8906 Pico
Blvd L.A. 90035. Form your own carpool and please share the cost of transportation and

From West LA Fwy 10 W, to PCH N, about 33 miles to La Jolla Valley trailhead (mile marker 6.6 Ventura County, 2.1 miles up-coast form Big Sycamore Canyon trailhead which is at mile marker 4.5 Ventura County). There is a parking fee or you can park free on PCH and walk to the trailhead. We will meet by the restrooms a little past the iron gate.

CONDITIONS TO PARTICIPATE!!!!
Please allow plenty of time flexibility when participating in our hikes / activities!
If you are unsure of your fitness level please join us on one of our easier hikes before doing any advanced hikes. We would recommend that you can walk at least 6 miles before coming on any of our hikes.
It is not appropriate to RSVP for an event and not show up. Members can be terminated for repeated offenses.
Please read the description of the event carefully before attending.
I am a volunteer (i.e. not liable for the group). Safety is a priority for everyone in the group. Think of this as hiking with a group of friends.

RESPONSIBILITY: I am not responsible for you. You are responsible for you and your minors. You should be self-sufficient and be able to find your way to safety in the event you find yourself on your own. I will not lead you back to the trailhead if you decide to turn back.
