Beyond the Business Card (YALA)

YALA’s Ben-Gurion and Chai Society members are invited to an exclusive event to explore networking and connecting based on who we are, and not simply what we do. The evening will feature inspirational guest speaker Mia Schaikewitz, a prominent advocate and spokesperson for people with disabilities, and star of the Sundance Channel’s “Push Girls”.

$18; click here to register.

About Mia Schaikewitz

Mia Schaikewitz was a rising star on her high school swim team when a ruptured blood vessel in her spinal cord left her paralyzed from the waist down. With resilience and determination, Mia finished high school and excelled at the University of Florida. She moved to Los Angeles, where she began a career in graphic design and branding. Mia continues to compete in adaptive sports and brings the same positive attitude to everything she does.

About YALAs Chai and Ben Gurion Societies

Our Ben Gurion and Chai Societies are donor recognition groups for professionals between 25 and 40 (Chai), and 25 and 45 (Ben Gurion), who commit minimum gifts of $180 (Chai) or $1000 (Ben Gurion) to the Federation’s annual campaign. These groups provide access to exclusive events and opportunities, and empower young adults to combine their knowledge, passion, and resources to build stronger Jewish communities at home, in Israel, and around the world.
