A diverse group of 100 young adults from Mizrahi, Persian, Sephardic, Ashkenaz, and mixed heritages came out to Culver City to celebrate “A Taste of Mizrahi Culture” in partnership with JIMENA. We heard stories of the past, present, and future of Mizrahi Jewry in honor of the commemorative date in Israel of the Jewish refugees from Arab countries and Iran in the 20th century. This event was the official kickoff of the Federation’s Y&S Nazarian Initiative to engage Persian young adults in our work and the greater LA Jewish community.
