Spoken Word Collaboration – part of Voices of LA: The Krupnick Festival of the Arts
“Along the Hyphen” is a spoken word / musical collaboration examining life along some of the many hyphens of identity in Los Angeles – Korean, Jewish, Filipina, Latina and African-American. Featured artists for this event are: Kamau Daaood, Marisela Norte, Irene Sulco Soriano and Doc Whisper, with Gustavo Bulgach, L-Boogie Chalwell, Joseph DeRusha and Daniel Pritchett.
Funded by the Jewish Community Foundation of Los Angeles, Voices of LA: The Krupnick Festival of the Arts is a groundbreaking 3-month, 9-part series bringing Jewish artists together with artmakers from diverse communities across Los Angeles to create original works featuring musicians, dancers, spoken word and visual artists. All events are performances are FREE and open to the public.
