Toy & Book Drive
This holiday season, you can send a gift — and a smile — to a child in need with a donation of a new toy or book (or both!).
The process is entirely virtual this holiday season, so it’s easier than ever. See below for all of the organizations we’re partnering with and their Amazon Wish Lists. Donate straight from there!
Below, you can learn more about the various organizations and access their online registry, to have the gifts sent directly to them:
Jewish Family Service LA
We provide life-improving services that help the people of Los Angeles live with dignity and exercise self-determination. We believe in and strive for a more compassionate Los Angeles where no one has to navigate life alone.
Cedars-Sinai Guerin Children’s Child Life Services
A Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS) helps reduce the fear and anxiety children may experience related to injury, illness and hospitalization. CCLSs are experts in child/adolescent development who promote effective coping through education, preparation, and play and improve the overall patient and family experience. Any pediatric patient that visits our outpatient clinic or is admitted to the pediatric unit/PICU may be seen by a child life specialist to help them navigate their hospital journey. Using play as our primary mode of teaching, we help kids understand what they may see, hear and be expected to do to participate in their care. We provide activities that normalize hospitalization and teach techniques to enhance coping skills and pain management.
