Keeping Our Community Safe and Secure

Our Federation’s Community Security Initiative (CSI) prioritizes your safety and security. We’ve launched Project Safe Classroom, initiated an early warning system, and trained over 250 professionals in recognizing and reporting pre-incident indicators. We’ve also created Shabbos Link to protect Jewish institutions. With over 300 site visits and a partnership with law enforcement, CSI provides the highest level of security to our community.

Federation Leadership in Matters of Security

When it comes to security, The Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles is a leader in our community and within the Federation system. Here in Los Angeles, on Wednesday, March 15 at 5:00 p.m., we are holding a Security Response Town Hall at 6505 Wilshire so community members can hear directly from Chief of Police, LAPD Chief Beck, and other senior members of local and national law enforcement on how they are working with Federation’s Community Service Initiative (CSI) to prepare for and respond to threats to the safety of Jewish Los Angeles.

Federation’s CSI Holds First Event in Annual Speaker Series

The Jewish Federation’s Community Security Initiative (CSI) hosted the first event in their Annual Speaker Series at The Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles’ Goldsmith Center. Keynote speaker Dr. Erroll G. Southers discussed Home Grown Violent Extremism (HVE) and extremism culture in the United States. Sergeant Steve Alegre provided practical advice on how to react during an active shooter incident. CSI aims to educate Jewish leaders on threats to the L.A. Jewish community.
