The Jewish Federation’s Community Security Initiative (CSI) hosted the first event in their Annual Speaker Series at The Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles’ Goldsmith Center. Keynote speaker Dr. Erroll G. Southers discussed Home Grown Violent Extremism (HVE) and extremism culture in the United States. Sergeant Steve Alegre provided practical advice on how to react during an active shooter incident. CSI aims to educate Jewish leaders on threats to the L.A. Jewish community. The CSI Safety & Security Conference brought together professionals from the Jewish community and law enforcement sector.
