Anti-Semitism: We Are Ready

“Our Federation is committed to combating the rise of anti-Semitism. Through our Principles Against Antisemitism and the Community Security Initiative, we are taking action to protect and support our Jewish community. We also work with The Jewish Public Affairs Committee of California to lobby for nonprofit security grants and advocate for shared values. Together, we will build a strong and vibrant future for Jewish L.A.”

Federation’s CSI Holds First Event in Annual Speaker Series

The Jewish Federation’s Community Security Initiative (CSI) hosted the first event in their Annual Speaker Series at The Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles’ Goldsmith Center. Keynote speaker Dr. Erroll G. Southers discussed Home Grown Violent Extremism (HVE) and extremism culture in the United States. Sergeant Steve Alegre provided practical advice on how to react during an active shooter incident. CSI aims to educate Jewish leaders on threats to the L.A. Jewish community. The CSI Safety & Security Conference brought together professionals from the Jewish community and law enforcement sector. Keynote speaker Elan Carr highlighted the threats faced by the Jewish community in Europe and emphasized the importance of preparedness. Break-out sessions provided valuable skills and knowledge for emergency situations. The Community Security Initiative works to ensure the safety of all Jewish institutions in Los Angeles.
