On Sunday, February 12, hundreds of community members joined together for The Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles’ annual Super Sunday event.
The buzz of phone lines punctuated this unique day, highlighting our community’s generosity and commitment to the Federation’s important work. We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of our dedicated volunteers who made Super Sunday a reality, raising $1,091,808 that will be essential to the Federation’s impactful work throughout the year.
The Federation would like to thank the following elected officials who joined our efforts: Congressmember Nanette Barragán, Senator Bob Hertzberg, Assemblymember Richard Bloom, Assemblymember Adrin Nazarian, Assemblymember Matt Dababneh, Assemblymember Laura Friedman, City Attorney Mike Feuer, Controller Ron Galperin, Councilmember Paul Koretz, Councilmember Bob Blumenfield, Councilmember Mike Bonin, and Community College Trustee Scott Svonkin.
Jay Sanderson, President and CEO of The Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles said, “Super Sunday highlighted the essence and strength of our community – elected officials, community leaders and volunteers came together to support our community and our work. The excitement and energy in the room was unbelievable.” Sanderson continued, “The Jewish Federation identifies and addresses our community’s greatest challenges and opportunities here in Los Angeles, Israel and around the world. Together, we are able to continue this impactful work. I would like to thank all those who joined us to make calls, and those who contributed generously to supporting our work.”
