David Labkovski’s art documents a time of fear and uncertainty\, but it also reflects the strength and resilience of the human spirit and the cathartic use of art to process trauma and heal. David Labkovski left the world a visual diary\, a way for generations to come to connect with the past and become a witness to history. The visually engaging lecture will share the course of the artist’s David Labkovski’s life and the cutting edge educational initiative developed by the DLP that merges art\, history and technology to educate about the Holocaust by understanding tones\, brushstroke\, color and shading to illustrate emotion and theme in Labkovski’s art within a personal and historic context. \nThe DLP exhibits and educational programs have been implemented in middle schools\, high schools and universities in the U.S.\, Mexico\, South Africa\, and Lithuania.
