Real Housewives of the Bible, The Whole Truth About the First Wives Club

If you enjoy reality shows with desperate housewives, you are in for a treat with the hopes, challenges, mischief, and failures of the Real Housewives of the Bible. Due to popular demand, this fun yet educational series will resume with nine new women of the bible at American Jewish University, beginning Thursday October eleventh at 7:30PM. Under the guidance of esteemed rabbis from our community, these classes will offer enlightening glimpses into the varied personalities and issues of our feminine forbearers.
October 11, Rabbi Sharon Brous of IKAR will discuss Eve/Lilith, who was the first housewife of the bible or was it Lilith?
October 18 Rabbi Elliot Dorff, Rector at AJU, will discuss Zipporah, who married Moses before saving his life.
October 25 Rabbi Sharon Brous of IKAR will discuss Devorah/Yael, who outshined their husbands to change the history of the Jewish people.
November 1 Dr. Robert Wexler, President of AJU, will discuss Hannah, a sad housewife who, more than anything, wants a child.
November 8 Rabbi David Woznica of Stephen S. Wise Temple will discuss Rachel, the beautiful wife of Jacob, who proved to be much more powerful than others around her ever thought possible.
November 15 Rabbi Judith HaLevy of Malibu Jewish Center & Synagogue will discuss Dinah and the Real Red Tent Story.
November 29 Rabbi Mordecai Finley of Ohr HaTorah Synagogue will discuss the daughters of Zelophechad, who have a story rich with tribulations of marriage rights, ownership, and law.
December 6 Rabbi Richard Camras of Shomrei Torah Synagogue will discuss Tamar, who had a very confusing love life, to say the least.
December 13 Rabbi Nina Feinstein, Lecturer at AJUs Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies, will discuss Rahab, who, although not an Israelite herself, became a hero of the Hebrew Bible.

All sessions will take place Thursdays, 7:30PM 9:00PM at AJUs Familian Campus, 15600 Mulholland Drive in Bel Air. Tickets are $100 for the series and $25 for individual sessions. For more information, please contact Caroline Cohen at 310.440.1246 or visit www.ajula.edu/housewives.
