Israel Solidarity Shabbat Saturday August 2
Hollywood Temple Beth El and the Iranian-American Jewish Federation (IAJF) congregation will conduct special services on Saturday morning August 2nd, 2014,at 12 noon, in Solidarity with the People of Israel and Prayers for IDF soldiers, following Shabbat services at 10:00.
Samuel Schwartz,who holds Harvard’s Master Degree in Government and currently is working with Raanana Police Department, will speak on the current situation in the Middle East.
Rabbi Norbert Weinberg and Dr.Isaac Norman will lead the Solidarity Service and prayer .
“The discovery of an extensive network of tunnels,built over the last several years, intended to allow terrorists to penetrate Israel and take hostages, has turned this into a war of survival for the only refuge for Jews in the Middle East. Billions of dollars have been stolen from the civilians of Gaza, money earmarked for food, medicine and construction has gone to build instruments of destruction and to line the pockets of the purported Leadership of Gaza,”Rabbi Weinberg explained.
